Started Sun eve on Spring. Thought I might do pretty well. Little did I know!
Water was a little high...say 290 cfs but certainly not bad at all.
Mike throwing streamers on Spring.
In previous trips I caught fish right here. Only one this time.
Monday Morning Gary joined me on spring.
I believe this was Gary's from Spring Creek.
Then this was another I got.
That last fish was living right here as was the fish in the next pic.
Spring is not stocked so this is a really good sign. Little fingerlings.
Gary got a small one too!
Then one of us got this brown...don't know who caught it.
This turned out to be our most successful spot. Fishing was really tough. Worked hard, 11-12 hour days on the stream and only got one or two fish per day.
Gary on Spring Creek
Lot of guys were nymphing this water but I stubbornly stuck to drys until the danger of being skunked set in. Then I too took to fishing under water; even…
And yeah, we got one or two here and there but nothing like previous visits to Spring or Bald Eagle. And, while its not really important, we didn't catch fish…
Like this guy...mostly small fish
Kept coming back to the same hole. Fish hold just below that log but they just didn't want anything I was throwing.
Gary on Bald Eagle. This was a long distance pic with movement...consequently, a blurred pic.
Mike Skagit casting on Bald Eagle. That method sure puts out the line.
Ha, Ha, Ha, get into the trees just as easily as regular casting.
